Quant Binh Province Caves

Vietnam's most impress caves are located inside Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site near the Laos-Vietnam border. The nesrest city to these caves is Dong Hoi, about a 45 to 60 minute drive.

Phong Nha Cave
- 7729 meters long, 14 grottos, 13,969 meter underground river
- Visitors can tour the first 1500 meters of the cave
- The cave entrance can only be accessed by boat
- Visiting requires renting a boat and paying an entrance fee
- Tours can be arranged through Phong Nha Tourism
- Length: About 4.8 miles
- Before discovery of Song Doong, considered VT's largest cave
- Tour includes boat ride and light cave exploring
- Can be very crowded with tourists
- Located inside Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park

Hang En Cave
- ?

Son Doong Cave
- Discovered During British Caving Association Trek in 2009
- Said to be the World's largest cave
- More then 5 miles long, about 490 feet deep
- Largest Chamber: 650 feet wide, 500 feet tall
- Means "Mountain River Cave
- Subterranean Rao Thuong River
- Remote location in Central Vietnam
- Inside Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park
- Near Laos-Vietnam border
- Part of a network of about 150 caves in the Annamite Mountains

Thien Durong Cave / Paradise Cave
- Opened to the public in December of 2011
- Less visited then other caves
- Optional: tram ride from entrance to foot of stairs
- Access requires long ascent up stairs
- Discovered in 2005 by local man
- British Cave Research Association explored first 5 km in 2005
- Opened to tourists in September of 2010
- Road to cave built by Truong Thinh Group
- Parking is about 1.6 kilometers from entry of cave
- Visitors travel that distance by ewalking or golf cart
- Elevation: about 650 feet above sea level
- Length: bout 102 feet
- Located about 40 miles northwest of Dong Hoi City
- Near west branch of Ho Chi Minh Highway
- Inside Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park
- Located inside Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park

Tien Son Cave
Usually visited along with the Phone Nha Cave although the two caves have separate admissions fees. Both caves can only be accessed by boat. At one point this cave was closed for renovation. Not sure if tours are currently available.

Ninh Binh Province Caves

The Ninh Binh Province is located in the Red River Delta region of North Vietnam.

Tam Coc-Bich Dong Cave Complex
- Name means "Three Caves" (it's a 3 cave complex)
- Most common tour is a three hour row boat excursion
- boats are usually rowed by local women
- Tours begin at Van Lam Village
- Scenic ride through rice fields and karst towers
- And floating through 3 natural caves:

- Hang Ba Cave

Danang Municipality Caves

Marble Mountains Cave Complex
The Marble Mountains are five hills composed of marble and limestone that are located in the Ngu Hanh Son area of the Danang Municipality. All of the mountains have caves and tunnels and it is possible to climb tothe top of one of the mountains.

Thanh Hoa Province Caves

Lang Trang Cave
Palaeontological remains found in this cave date from the Pleistocene period.
